Bring to class a one page discussion, following the instructions for these in Writing Assignments and Grades, in answer to one of the three following questions:

The novel’s conclusion doesn’t seem, to many readers, to be a conventional happy ending. In your view, what aspect or aspects of it work to complicate any sense that everything worked out for the best?
In most (but not all) film adaptations of the novel, Heathcliff is cast as white. If it changes your understanding of the novel to think of Heathcliff as a person of color, how does it?
Victorian readers loved Jane Eyre but disliked Wuthering Heights. In what ways does the former seem Victorian in its values and the other seem anti-Victorian?
