Asian American Films

Bring to class a one page discussion, following the instructions for these in Writing Assignments and Grades, in answer to one of the three following questions:

• What is one significant difference or similarity in the portrayals of Asian American experience in one of the two Chinese American films and the one Japanese American film?
• What is one way that the eras in which the arranged marriages that are central to both Picture Bride and The Wedding Banquet seems to determine a message that each film conveys about this practice that was, and still is for many, common in Asian countries?
• How does A Great Wall suggest that the famous wall is symbolic of the experience of Chinse Americans?
